This tour is the main commercial artery since colonial times. It was transformed into a pedestrian walk in 1977 and renovated in 1999. It is currently the hub of Santiago's largest social, commercial and functional activity, which brings together, in its four blocks, large commercial stores.
This tour leads to the city's great artery, Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, in front of the University of Santiago building and the San Francisco Church, converted into a Colonial Museum.
Located in central Santiago, between Alameda and Plaza de Armas
When visiting the four blocks that make up Paseo, it is common to find the most varied and folkloric street shows. Magic, music, juggling and humor entertain pedestrians who take time to stop for a few minutes in their frantic march; although the restrictions imposed by the municipality have slightly reduced the range of artistic manifestations.
