It is an enclosure for bullfights and musical concerts, among other things, with a capacity of about 10,000 people. It was built in 1892, replacing the square that ran from 1831 to 1891 in Campo de Santana.
The tauromáquico calendar mainly takes place in the summer.
The Small Field Bullring was built in solid brick facing the eye and was the subject of a thorough rehabilitation process at the beginning of the 21st century. The square got its first ring structurally altered, to be of reinforced concrete, to the detriment of the initially existing brick arches. The outer ring remained unchanged at structural level, and repairs and reinforcements were performed. A commercial gallery was created in the basement and some commercial spaces on the ground floor. The most significant change will have been the removable cover that makes the square in a more versatile space, and can be used all year round and for any purpose.
