The wooden enclosure respects the architecture of the area and is located in Castro Municipal Park, concentrating especially during summer a variety of activities and works, being a natural attraction for tourists and the community.



MAM was opened in 1988 to cover the lack of spaces dedicated to contemporary art and to decentralize culture. With a collection of almost 500 works, it receives no allowance and is maintained thanks to donations and fees from its friends.



It is a space to house contemporary art that is constantly produced in the country, in order to contribute to the cultural development of Chile and to preserve its artistic heritage.

Preserves one of the most important collections of Chilean contemporary art.

During the summer, the annual contemporary art show is organized, an opportunity in which a different group of artists are invited each time.

You can travel from Santiago de chile to El Tepual airport in Puerto Montt or arrive at Ancud. Where to travel by car, whether private or public.

From Puerto Montt, you should take the road that leads to Pargua, where you have to cross the Chacao Canal by ferry. Then take Route 5 South for about 90 km.
