The house designed by Don Arturo Edwards was completed in 1899 using imported wood, marble and stained glass. The building was built in brick, attached to a lime mortar. The work was done by architects Juan Eduardo Fehrman and French Jacques Roux de Landousy.
Fehrman was the one who transformed the Renaissance style into the mansion, both in the organization, in the façade elements and in the lobby composition.
It is located at 1158 Cathedral Street, between Bandera and Morandé streets.
The building was declared a Historic Monument in 1973.
Two plants stand out, a mansard and a pedestal. The total of the building is covered by a sill, formed by a grid between bases that support flowers. The internal compartments open to two double height spaces: the first is the access, where they give the most important rooms and the marble staircase and the second floor is what was the mansion's conservatory.
