Meireles is the stretch of beach around the Feirinha de Artesanato and the Clube Náutico de Fortaleza. The area concentrates large number of hotels, restaurants, shops and other tourist services; many tour vans, which offer tours in the city and surrounding areas, have the Meireles as the point of departure and arrival.

Also in Meireles, with its wide sidewalks, there are several tents by the sea. Tents generally have access to the beach boardwalk and sand, making them convenient for quick breaks during a walk or for lunch by the sea.

This area is quite busy all day and much of the night.

The beach huts offer both tables and chairs, on the boardwalk, as beach chairs, on the sand; Waiters bring food and drink to the sand. The tents offer varying degrees of comfort, service, prices and hygiene.
