The Cathedral of Pucallpa was inaugurated on December 8, 2005 by the Apostolic Nuncio in Peru as representative of the Holy Father. For its construction, the entire Ucayalina population supported with donations and works. Its majestic building is reminiscent of the imposing cathedrals of the world, but presented in a modern way and adapted to the Peruvian jungle.
City center.
Within it are represented the main Peruvian Catholic devotions: the Lord of Miracles, San Martin de Porres, the Virgin Mary, Santa Rosa de Lima, among others. It presents on its altar a sculpture in native wood of Christ crucifixion, and above its main door a series of stained glass windows with the Marian faith. Mass services are offered daily, as well as confession and collective prayers.
