Sandhill House Country House Retreat is a quiet and luxurious destination in Gunnislake, east Cornwall. Around 6 miles from the western edge of Dartmoor National Park, Sandhill House offers en suite rooms with free parking and Wi-Fi, and landscaped gardens with water features.
Each room has en suite bathroom facilities with shower or bath and complementary toiletries. There is a TV with DVD player, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities in all guest rooms.
Breakfast is served in the Georgian dining room, using ethically and locally sourced produce. The local area has a number of recommended pubs and restaurants, including The Queen’s Head in the village just a 10-minute walk away.
Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Tamar Valley offers many beautiful locations for walking, cycling and horse-riding. The scenic Tamar Valley Line railway runs from Plymouth to Gunnislake, and you can stop off at several pretty villages along its 14-mile route.
