Located in the Bay of Sesimbra, the Gold Beach generally presents the very calm and sandy sea with little slope, without shallows, which makes it ideal for families and children.
It is one of the Portuguese beaches that has been flying the Blue Flag of Europe for more years, and it has also been distinguished with the Flag of Accessible Beach, awarding the bathing areas with accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and Beach with Quality of Gold, distinction bathing areas which presented excellent water quality.
It offers a set of infrastructures and services and in 2013 was the subject of an extensive requalification project that consisted of the improvement of accesses and the construction of a pedestrian corridor raised with lighting, stadium and new toilets.
