The Casas de Campo Podence are located at the heart of the village of Podence. The homes are set in a 40-acre farm which features chestnut woods, vineyards, orchards, crops and livestock.
The property features accommodation in self-catering, rustic-style homes. All the homes feature a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, equipped kitchen or kitchenette. The units enjoy a view over the country side area.
Outdoor barbecue facilities area also available. The centre of Macedo de Cavaleiros is a 10-minute drive and has several restaurants, most serving traditional Portuguese meals.
Guests may join in on the agricultural activities if they wish, such as taking care of the crops and the farm animals. Bicycle rental is possible with the front desk, so that guests can better enjoy getting to know the surroundings. Massages are available, at a surcharge
Mirandela is a 24-minute drive from the Podence and is famous for the Alheiras de Mirandela, a regional sausage made up of bread and assorted meat types. The border into neighbouring Spain is 45 km from the property. Bragança is a 31-minute drive from the property and has a scenic historical centre.
The Porto International Airport is a 2-hour drive from the Casas de Campo Podence.
