Possible commission of a nobleman from the house of the Sande, judging by the coat of arms of this noble family on the facade, and with well-marked characteristics of the Rococo of the reign of D. Maria I (1777-1816). The chapel is part of the former mansion of the captains-in-chief of the village of Veiros and has an adjoining house, now occupied by the Asilo de Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro Foundation, undergoing a recent radical remodeling.

The facade is notoriously a fusion of rococo and neoclassical styles, interpretation consistent with the aesthetics of the era of the said queen.
In the interior also it is very clear the Rococo, in particular in the altarpiece to the bottom of the Presbytery, in the second section of the ship. Above the altar are two angels in the same style, wrapped in ramagens, garlands and holding a bundle of shells, indicating the date of 1795.
