It is located in the town of Cacela-Velha, Parish of Vila Nova de Cacela, Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, in the District of Faro, Portugal.
At the end of the 19th century, it became the headquarters of the Fiscal Guard, classified as a Property of Public Interest, has benefited from conservation and restoration works and is considered one of the most important architectural complexes in the Algarve.
