You will immediately feel at home in this building which dates from 1898 and has by now been listed as a municipal monument. The first thing that strikes you when coming in is the handmade Empire style Indonesian furniture. You will find this style throughout the hotel in furniture, frames, doors, and skirting-boards. Notice also the beautiful wall painting of the Abbey of Tongerlo in the attractive lounge.
