Casona Monsante, is a clear example of the colonial roots of Chachapoyas, a city that preserves much of its Hispanic legacy. The house, declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the National Institute of Culture (INC), was the headquarters of a company dedicated to the commercialization of tobacco.
It is located in Jirón Amazonas 746, Chachapoyas.
After a fine restoration and conditioning work, the Casona Monsante became a cozy hotel and an attractive nursery, because in its vast Hispanic-style patio, begonias, orchids and more than 1,500 plants and flowers from the region have been planted.
