It's a good place for mountaineering fans, especially at the place called Boyenar. From here you can access Laguna Negra and the El Manzanillo estuary, both with great fishing.
It is located 70 km from Santiago and 22 km. of San Jose de Maipo, at kilometer 47, Cajon del Maipo.
Cajon del Maipo is located one hour from Santiago.
To the east you can reach El Morado National Park and the Yelcho Reservoir.
